    The Richmond Hill Gallery opened its doors in 1996, specialising in promoting the works of The Royal Academicians and other leading 20th Century Artists.

     

    ABOUT THE FOUNDER:
    Over 28 years, Marianna Penturo has housed many important paintings into private and corporate collections worldwide.

    “In 1996 I set up the Richmond Hill Gallery to eliminate the pretence and intimidation I had experienced as a fine art student, while visiting private art galleries in the early 1980s. I also decided to bring the very best of 20th Century Art to Richmond, whilst it had only been accessible in the Mayfair art quarter.

    I have been very fortunate to work alongside many major Royal Academicians and leading artists over the years, to include John Bellany CBE RA and Estate, James Butler MBE RA and Estate , Frederick Gore CBE RA and Estate, Anthony Green RA, John Hoyland RA and Estate, Dr Barbara Rae CBE RA and Philip Sutton RA to name a few.

    Having the opportunity to visit the artists’ studios to select the works for  exhibitions, I learned  first-hand the artist’s own perspective, the stories behind each artwork and their intention , giving me a wealth of knowledge, which I enjoy passing to my clients.

    Advertising in the RA magazine and other fine art magazines, I have been involved in producing with the artists, several important Fine Art publications and Retrospectives.

    I have also worked alongside many major art specialists to source artworks by the 20th Century Modern Masters, to include Picasso, Matisse and Pissarro, for my discerning customers.

    Shuffling works around to welcome your new purchase can be daunting, so my experienced and fully insured art installer and lighting technician is at hand to take the strain and find the perfect setting for your new acquisition.

    We also work with established fine art couriers and shippers and can offer professional advice on framing and conservation.

    We are committed in promoting the past and present members of the Royal Academy of Arts and other leading artists by providing to our customers  a secondary market, for clients who may wish to rotate their collection.
